Border Mass 250 will focus on ministry of presence by which people of all demographics and perspectives, from both sides of the border, and immersed in this complex human reality, will come together to recognize one another’s human dignity as members of the Mystical Body of Christ.
It will also be a day to reflect on the inestimable contribution to the United States by migrants over the past 250 years, many of whom have made the U.S. their home, often fleeing persecution and hardship in Mexico, Latin America, and other parts of the world.
As Pastors and Ministers of the Gospel, Border Mass 250 will offer pastoral accompaniment to migrants, to the people of God living in Nogales, AZ and Nogales, Sonora, MX, to those entrusted with managing the border, and to leaders from our international communities through a shared moment of Christian presence and prayer.
