Bishop Kicanas releases statement on flooding

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

We received word today that a number of our parishes were affected by severe rains that caused significant flooding. In some instances people died from flooding waters and a lot of damage was done to businesses and facilities.

The affected areas to my knowledge were Globe, Miami, Claypool, San Carlos and Florence. There may be other areas. There was some damage done to our Church facilities. 
I heard from Fr. Albert Miranda at Holy Angels Parish in Globe and he told me they had a lot of damage to their offices and he was so grateful that parishioners came to help clean up the area affected. I suspect this is true in other areas as well.

Let's pray for those who have been affected especially those who have died.
