Christmas at the Cathedral draws hundreds

Friends, major donors, and leaders of the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Tucson gathered at the Bishop Kicanas Pastoral Center for a special Christmas celebration ahead of a festive cathedral concert, creating an evening marked by gratitude, tradition, and holiday cheer. Bishop Gerald Kicanas welcomed guests for what was fittingly themed a “Cozy Christmas,” offering a warm and personal moment of reflection during the busy holiday season.

Thanks to the thoughtful efforts of Maryann Wittman, Board Member of the Catholic Foundation, and Kimberly Neal with 440&Co., the gathering transformed the Ginny Clements ballroom space into an intimate and joyful setting. Guests enjoyed fellowship and conversation as they came together to celebrate the spirit of giving that supports the mission of the Diocese. 

A highlight of the evening was the blessing of commemorative Christmas ornaments by Bishop Kicanas. The ornaments were then presented to donors as a token of appreciation for their continued generosity and commitment. The meaningful gesture underscored the Catholic Foundations gratitude and the shared faith that unites its community.

The evening concluded as attendees moved into the Cathedral concert, carrying with them the warmth of the gathering and the true spirit of Christmas.
