Deacon Clyde Joseph (Joe) LaFleur, 78, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025. Joe died while in hospice, Peppi House, due to complications caused by Parkinson’s disease.
Joe LaFleur was born on February 7, 1947, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to Jane and George LaFleur. He spent 40 plus years in the swimming pool business and owned his own pool service company before retiring in 2012. In 1977, Joe married Thelma Jane LaFleur. They spent time with family and friends and took part in activities including dancing and travelling. Joe was ordained in 2004 by the Archdiocese of Chicago as a Deacon. He served at Prince of Peace, Lake Villa, Illinois from 2004 through 2012 and then at Santa Catalina Parish, Catalina, Arizona from 2012 to 2024.
Joe is survived by his wife Thelma, his three children: Bear Grey, Colleen Rainer (Brian), and Jill LaFleur (Gokhan Feliz). He is also survived by his amazing grandchildren, Megan Yock, Jake Van Asten, Ethan Yock (Haley), River, Rider and Reid Rainer. Joe was also blessed to welcome a Great Grandson (Theodore Arthur Yock).
Funeral Service will be held on August 28, 2025, at Santa Catalina Parish in Catalina, Arizona at 1:30 p.m. with a reception to follow.
