Our Lady of Lourdes in Benson conducted its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Project this year. Through contributions from our Parishioners, the Knights of Columbus Logan DeRosier Council 7521, and the Benson Saint Vincent de Paul Society (Saint Bernadette Conference), we distributed 106 Thanksgiving baskets with turkeys and all the fixings that fed more than 490 Benson-area residents. The KofC Council and its members collected and donated $1,500 to the Project this year.
Our Thanksgiving Day luncheon was also a total success, feeding more than 60 parishioners and families. Pastor Father Martin and our Parish Alive ministry thank all our contributors and volunteers who put the baskets together, distributed the baskets, and cooked the delicious Thanksgiving Day luncheon.
May the Lord continue to bless our Parish with such generous and loving hearts.
